Damn... I forgot about Hydraspawn's contest.... (My Entry)

Today is the last day for entries, so I whipped up this last minute entry...



I wasn't sure if he was going for "Hydra" like "water" or "Hydra" like a Dragon... so the idea in my head combined both. I envisioned tentacles (instead of heads) some dragon like fins, and a spawn body.

Since I'm at work, I couldn't do a sketch and scan it, so I relyed on my Photoshop abilities and some Capullo source material. It still turned out pretty close to what I had planned on drawing.

granted remember that I can' draw worth a crap, or even a pile of crap for that matter, apparently,

I had an assignment once that we were told to go home, find something in the backyard, and draw it. The goal was to draw ti well enough that the teacher could see what it was.

I worked for hours on my drawing assignment back in school to get a good representation of that pile of dog crap I wanted to submit. It was etheir that or the big Bass wind mill my Dad had out back that I was always trying to take out with the lawnmower on the weekends.

As soon as I handed it in, the teacher told me it was shit, so I left dejected and never to draw again.

I have just recently tried to get back into art with photography - but I still can't bring my self to work on a good photo of that pile of daog crap in the backyard yet. They may take a few more years.
